The Event Village is situation in Shoreditch Park (N1 6TA).

We are recommending all participants arrive and depart via public transport network hubs and services situated around the Shoreditch area. We suggest you download the free Citymapper app from the app store which will calculate your best possible route to the Event Village.

The event is very accessible by bus with a large number of buses serving the local area. However some bus stops and routes will be closed or diverted due to the road closures in place for the event. Visit TfL website to see if your public transport journey by bus is affected.


There is no event parking or drop off zone, so those arriving by taxi must find a suitable and safe place to stop nearby which is off route & doesn’t hold up other traffic.


The Shoreditch 10K is set to become one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the running calendar in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant boroughs. Due to the scale and numbers participating in the Shoreditch 10K, it will be necessary to implement road closures across the full 10KM route to facilitate the safe passage of the participants. Please be aware that the road closures could impact your travel arrangements on that day.

Would you like to spend the day in East London helping runners achieve their goals? If so, please join our Volunteer Team for the inaugural adidas City Run Shoreditch 10k taking place on Sunday 8th October!

Volunteers will support in a variety of ways, including handing out water, directing runners and spectators, registering runners and marshalling the route. If this sounds like something you would like to be part of then sign up below.


Entry Information

What's the minimum entry age?

Participants must be 16 years old on the 31/12/2017. Runners under the age of 18 will need to be registered on the online entry portal by their Parent or Legal Guardian.

Can I run for charity?

Absolutely. Our Official Charity Partner is Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital who would hugely appreciate your support in raising funds for them. You have two options:
1. Secure a Charity Entry for a reduced entry fee, commit to a minimum target and receive support from them in the build up to the event.
2. Secure a General Entry and fundraise as much or as little as you like.

Is there a wheelchair race?

Owing to operational constraints we are unable to accommodate wheelchair racers in this event.

Can disabled participants enter?

We will endeavour to accommodate all participants wherever possible. If you do have a disability please email with details of your race day requirements so we can plan accordingly.

Can I enter multiple people at a time?

No. Runners are only allowed to register themselves for the event and accept the Event T&Cs. It also makes sure all correct details, including important medical information, is entered correctly by the relevant person.

I’ve entered. Can I change my details?

You can update / correct your details anytime before the end of August by logging to your account at using the details created when you entered and edit. It is important that all the information we have for you is up to date.

If it is after August 31 and you need to update your details, please email as soon as you can.



I’ve entered but can no longer take part. What are my options?

If you’re reading this FAQ then we’re gutted for you! If you’re within your 7 day ‘Cooling-Off’ period then you will receive a full refund, simply email and our Customer Services team will manage this process.

If you’re past this period, unfortunately we’re unable to offer a refund because a t-shirt will have been ordered and printed for you. We will still send you your race day technical t-shirt and race pack so we highly recommend you do not withdraw from the event just in case it turns out you can take part.

If you are a charity runner, you must contact your charity and they will manage this process in accordance with their withdrawal policy.


Event Day Information

Do I have to wear the free adidas t-shirt?

All runners must wear the free adidas race day t-shirt they receive in advance of the event. This will have their unique race number printed on which will pair with your timing chip.

What time does the run start?

07:15 : Event Village Opens

08:30 : Warm-Up Begins

09:00 : Race Starts

13:00 : Event Village Closes

Do I have to collect a timing chip?

You will receive your timing chip along with your adidas race day t-shirt in the post in the lead up to the event. Remember to wear this round your ankle on race day so you can get an official time!

What's the cut off time?

The last runner to cross the start line has 1 hour and 40 minutes to finish. Unfortunately we have to have a cut off time due to road closure limitations. Don’t fear, this leaves all of our runners plenty of time to finish – an average of 12 minutes/km or 19 minutes/mile to be exact!

Will there be Pacers?

Yes. Our friendly pacers will be there on the day to help you achieve your target time.

Can I listen to music whilst running?

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when running. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos and MP3 players. Please note we cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with such equipment.

Will the event be timed?

Yes. Each runner will be given an adidas City Run race day t-shirt that will have their race number printed on. This will pair with an electronic timing chip that runners will wear around their ankle. This chip will be triggered as soon as you cross the start line and deactivate when you cross the finish line. Your result will be sent to you by SMS after the event and will also be available to access on the event website.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes. We want you to be able to get some fresh clothes on before re-joining your family and friends to unlock Shoreditch with the fantastic offers we’ve organised. Remember to keep your medal on you as this will get your great discounts.

Pre-Event Information

When will I receive my race pack?

You will have to your race pack sent to the address you entered during the registration process. Late entrants (after 26th September) must collect their race pack on the morning of the event any time after the Event Village opens at 07:15.
Please note race packs can arrive as late as the day before the event – so don’t panic! If your details, such as address, change in the lead up to the event please email as soon as possible.
All overseas participants will have to collect their race pack on the morning of the event. The Event Village opens at 07:15 and we recommend you arrive no later than 08:00. You will need to bring your confirmation email and proof of ID (e.g. driving licence, passport, etc.)

I've lost my race pack. What do I do?

Please email and we’ll make sure there’s one waiting for you in the Event Village on the day of the event. You will need to bring your confirmation email and proof of ID (e.g. driving licence, passport, etc.)



Can I walk around the Event Village and Route?

Yes of course. Our Event Village is open to runners and spectators from 07:15 until 13:30 and will be full of entertainment and food and drink vendors for everyone to enjoy. There will be crossing points at various sections of the route too, where our Marshals will be on hand to point you to the nearest one.



What roads will be closed during the day of the event?

The list of the key affected roads and their closure times will be published in due course and an extensive business and residents communication plan will be implemented. Emergency Services and pedestrian access will be facilitated throughout, but there will be no vehicle or bicycle access on these roads during the closure period. Visit to see if your public transport journey by bus is affected.
