The adidas City Run: Islington Half and 10K takes place on Sunday, November 15. Due to the scale and numbers participating, it will be necessary to implement road closures across the full Half Marathon and 10K route to facilitate the safe passage of the participants. Please be aware that the road closures could impact your travel arrangements on that day.
A list of the affected roads and their closure times will be shared in due course. For further assistance or questions regarding the route and subsequent road closures on Sunday 15 November please contact community@adidascityruns.com.

We need enthusiastic and proactive individuals to support the delivery of adidas City Runs, and we would love to have you on the team! There are a variety of roles available for volunteers which will help us make it a day to remember for the thousands of runners taking part at adidas City Runs: Islington 10K and Half Marathon:
– Assist participants with pack collection and questions at the Help Desk.
– Assist with the management of the participant Bag Drop.
– Assist with the Start and Finish process, as well as handing out rewards and well-deserved medals to the finishers.
– Assist with setting up and managing the Water Station on course.
– Assist spectators and general public with wayfinding as a Route/Crossing Point Marshall.
Volunteers must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event.
WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE:

– adidas Event tech t-shirt (RRP £25)
– Medal to access all the amazing unlock offers after your shift
GROUP VOLUNTEERING
We would love for your group or organisation to get involved in the event and we welcome groups of all types and sizes!
To register your interest, your group leader should email volunteers@adidascityruns.com with information about your group, including the number of people that are able to volunteer at the event.
Groups with members that are 18 or younger should specify this when registering via email. The leader of the Group (who must be aged 18 or over) will be fully responsible for the group at the event and will be responsible for obtaining and bringing emergency contact details for all in the group.
We are looking to recruit a lot of volunteers for the event so please do get your friends and colleagues involved too!
You have to be 16 years old by date of the event to run in our event. Please also note that if you are 16 or 17 years old at time of entering, you will need to get your parent or guardian to complete this for you: Parental Consent Form. Our Community Mile Wave is open to everyone aged 4+! However, participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participant over the age of 18 who has also registered for the Community Mile Event.
All General Entry runners who can no longer participate in the event are able to withdraw up to 30 days prior to the event date (16th October). Please note, no refunds will be issued should a runner withdraw from the event at any time. For full details please refer to our event T&Cs.
Notice of withdrawal will need to be sent to hello@adidascityruns.com stating clearly the desire to withdraw and putting ‘ISLINGTON withdraw’ in the subject line of the email
Charity runners must contact the charity they secured a place from directly with any withdrawal requests.
Open to everyone aged 4+, our Community Mile event allows runners of all ages and abilities to complete a 1 mile route and it’s completely free to enter! Please note, all Community Mile participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participant over the age of 18. For full details please refer to our event T&Cs.

Event Packs should arrive in the week leading up to the event but can arrive as late as Saturday, November 14. Your Event Pack should include:
– Race Day T-Shirt
– Timing Chip
– Wristband
– Baggage Label
If you do not receive your Event Pack in the post or have misplaced any of the items, you’ll need to come to the Help Desk on the Emirates Stadium concourse between 11am-5pm on Saturday November 14.
If you entered using an international address, you will have to come to the Help Desk on the Emirates Stadium concourse between 11am-5pm on Saturday November 14 to collect your Event Pack. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.
You can change your details up until 30 days prior to the event (16th October). You can do this by logging into your account (using the details setup during registration) and edit your information here: https://myevents.active.com.
You can change your T-shirt size up to 30 days (16th October) prior to the event day by emailing our team on hello@adidascityruns.com.
If you have already received your t-shirt then you will need to come to the Event Village on the Emirates Stadium concourse approximately 45-60 minutes before your start time to get a full replacement pack. Please bring your current pack to swap (not just the t-shirt), as we will need to issue you a new timing chip that correlates to your new runner number that is printed on your new t-shirt.
You will need to come to the Help Desk on the Emirates Stadium concourse between 11am-5pm on Saturday November 14. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.

All runners must wear the free adidas race day t-shirt they receive in advance of the event. This will have your unique race number printed on it which will pair with your timing chip and also be used to identify you for your personal photos.
You will receive your timing chip along with your adidas race day t-shirt in the post in the lead up to the event. Remember to wear this on your shoe on race day so you can get an official time! Please be careful not to bend the timing chip and please remember to return your timing chip to one of the City Runs team at the finish or the timing chip recycling bins.
Due to road closure timings, the last runner permitted across the start line will be at 09:00 with 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish. Don’t fear, this leaves all our runners plenty of time to finish – an average speed of 10 minutes/km or 16 minutes/mile to be exact!

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when running. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos and MP3 players. Please note we cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with such equipment.
Yes. Your event day t-shirt is paired with an electric timing chip that runners will wear on their shoes. This chip will be activated as soon as you cross the start line and de-active when you cross the finish line. Your result will be sent to you by SMS after the event and will also be available to access on the event website.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Islington Half Marathon and 10K course, we cannot allow runners to compete with a buggy. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow your four-legged friend onto the course but we are more than happy for them to spectate with your friends and family as long as they stay on their lead.
Yes of course. Our Event Village on the Emirates Stadium concourse is open to runners and spectators from 07:30 until 14:00 and will be full of entertainment, as well as food and drink vendors for everyone to enjoy. Should you need to cross the route there will be crossing points at various sections where our Marshals will be on hand to help you.
