Arsenal Football Club has always understood its unique place and the power it has to make a difference to its community. Giving back has always featured in the club’s DNA traced back to the club’s formation in 1886. That spirit of giving back and value of community is as true today as it was back then. The Arsenal Foundation supports a wide variety of projects which support young people here in London and across the globe through its ground-breaking Coaching for Life programme in partnership with Save the Children. The work has never stood still and adapted to the needs of young people in the community.
The Arsenal Foundation has also funded pitch builds and upgrades and count over 50 safe spaces to play here in London and overseas where the club delivers projects that support young people to build skills and resilience they can use in everyday life.
At Refuge, we believe that no-one should have to live in fear of violence and abuse. On any given day Refuge supports more than 6,000 clients, helping them rebuild their lives and overcome many different forms of violence and abuse; for example domestic violence, sexual violence, so-called ‘honour’-based violence, human trafficking and modern slavery, and female genital mutilation.
Take your first steps now to empower women to take theirs.
