This is only for all International Participants and anyone who didn’t receive their Race Pack in the post. Please note it may arrive as late as the morning of Saturday (the day before the event).

Travel

The Event Village is situated in Eel Brook Common (SW6 4PT).

We are recommending all participants arrive and depart via public transport network hubs and services situated around the Fulham area. We suggest you download the free Citymapper app from the app store which will calculate your best possible route to the Event Village.

We will not provide parking for cars or bikes. For more information on planning your journey, including information on cancellations and expected delays, please visit the TfL website.

BUS

The event is very accessible by bus with a large number of buses serving the local area. However some bus stops and routes will be closed or diverted due to the road closures in place for the event. Visit TfL website close to the event date to see if your public transport journey by bus is affected.

TAXI

There is no event parking or drop off zone, so those arriving by taxi must find a suitable and safe place to stop nearby which is off route & doesn’t hold up other traffic.

Residents & Businesses

The Fulham 10K takes place on Sunday 18 November 2018. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the running calendar in the heart of one of London’s most prestigious boroughs. Due to the scale and numbers participating in the Fulham 10K, it will be necessary to implement road closures across the full 10KM route to facilitate the safe passage of participants. Please be aware that the road closures could impact your travel arrangements on that day.

FAQs

RUNNERS ENTERED BEFORE EVENT DATE CHANGE

I can make the new date (Sunday 18th November) – what do I need to do?

As you’re already entered, your place is secured for the new date and all you need to do is keep hold of your t-shirt and other items you received in your Runner Pack. We’ll send you all the information you’ll need to know about race day closer to the time.

I can’t make the new date. How do I get a refund?

If you can’t make the new Fulham 10K date, we will refund your entry fee. Simply email hello@adidascityruns.com with the subject line ‘Fulham 10K Refund’ before midnight on Friday 11th May.
Please note you will be asked to send back your timing chip in order to receive a refund as we will need to re-allocate this to a new Fulham 10K runner.

Why do I have to return my timing chip if I can’t make the new date?

Timing chips are non-disposable and we need them in order to re-allocate them to new Fulham 10K runners.

I’m a GOSH runner and I can’t make the new date. How do I get a refund?

If you secured your place through GOSH then you must contact them directly at: challenges@gosh.org

What do I do if my Runner Pack didn’t arrive or I am missing something from it (e.g. timing chip)?

If you did not receive your Runner Pack or you’re missing any of the following items – t-shirt, timing chip, wristband, and baggage label – please email hello@adidascityruns.com stating your name and DOB and we will endeavour to replace any items you are missing.

Can I still refer friends and save money?

Unfortunately due to the postponement of the event we are no longer able to offer a £5 rebate to runners who refer 4 or more friends.
Anyone who had referred 4 or more friends before the original date (18 March 2018) will have been issued a £5 rebate, along with those who they referred.

Entry Information

What's the minimum age to enter?

You have to be 16 years old by 31st Dec 2018 to run in our event. Please also note that if you are 15, 16 or 17 years old by time of entering, you will need to get your parent or guardian to complete this for you: Parental Consent Form.

I've entered but can no longer take part. What are my options?

All General Entry runners entering the Event more than 30 days prior to the event date may withdraw free-of-charge up to 7 days after payment. Notice of withdrawal from the event must be communicated during this period by email to hello@adidascityruns.com stating clearly the desire to withdraw and putting ‘FULHAM WITHDRAWAL’ in subject line of the email.

Runners hoping to withdraw from the event after the 7 day “Cooling Off Period”, he/she will receive no refund and will not be able to transfer their entry to another person.

Charity runners must contact the charity they secured a place from directly with any withdrawal requests.

 

Pre-Event Information

When will I receive my event pack and adidas race day t-shirt?

Packs will be sent out about 2 weeks before the event so you receive it in plenty of time ahead of the event.

If you do not receive a pack then you will need to come to the Event Village in Eel Brook Common between 12-5pm on Saturday November 17. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.

If you entered using an international address, you will have to come to the Event Village in Eel Brook Common between 12-5pm on Saturday November 17 to collect your pack and t-shirt. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.

What t-shirt size do I need / Can I change my t-shirt size?

If you have not received your t-shirt, you can change your t-shirt size anytime up to 30 days before the event date by emailing hello@adidascityruns.com with the subject line ‘Fulham T-Shirt Size Change’.

If you have already received your t-shirt then you will need to come to the Event Village in Eel Brook Common between 12-5pm on Saturday November 17. Please bring your current pack to swap (not just the t-shirt), as we will need to issue you a new timing chip that correlates to your new runner number that is printed on your new t-shirt.

Can I run with my child in a buggy?

Yes, however the child must remain in the buggy at all times and not run alongside the other runners. If you wish to run with your child in a buggy please complete this Parental Consent Form and bring it to Help Desk on Sunday morning ahead of the race start. Please note Help Desk will be open from 07:45.

I'm an international participant. When and where do I get my Event Pack from?

You will need to come to the Event Village in Eel Brook Common between 12-5pm on Saturday November 17. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.

If you cannot make this yourself, you can send someone else to collect it on your behalf. They will need to bring a copy of your confirmation email and sign and complete this Collection Form.

If my Event Pack has not arrived by Saturday morning what should I do?

Event Day Information

Do I have to wear the free adidas t-shirt?

All runners must wear the free adidas race day t-shirt they receive in advance of the event. This will have your unique race number printed on it which will pair with your timing chip and also be used to identify you for your personal photos.

Do I have to collect a timing chip?

You will receive your timing chip along with your adidas race day t-shirt in the post in the lead up to the event. Remember to wear this on your shoe on race day so you can get an official time!

What's the cut off time?

Due to road closure timings, the last runner to cross the start line has 1 hour and 40 minutes to finish. Don’t fear, this leaves all of our runners plenty of time to finish – an average speed of 10 minutes/km or 16 minutes/mile to be exact!

Will there be Pacers?

Yes. Our friendly pacers sourced through the adidas Runners community will be there on the day to help you achieve your target time.

Can I listen to music whilst running?

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when running. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos and MP3 players. Please note we cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with such equipment.

Will the event be timed?

Yes. Each runner will be given an adidas City Run race day t-shirt that will have their race number printed on. This will pair with an electronic timing chip that runners will wear on their shoe. This chip will be triggered as soon as you cross the start line and deactivate when you cross the finish line. Your result will be sent to you by SMS after the event and will also be available to access on the event website.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes. We want you to be able to get some fresh clothes on before re-joining your family and friends to Unlock Fulham and make the most of the fantastic offers we’ve organised. Remember to keep your medal with you to access these great discounts.

Are you accepting participants taking part in a wheelchair?

Whist we are always looking for ways to make our events as inclusive as possible, we unfortunately are unable to accommodate wheelchair racers. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

Will there be showers?

No. We aren’t able to provide showers but we have changing rooms so you can slip on a fresh set of clothes and Unlock Fulham, making the most of the fantastic offers we’ve organised. Remember to keep your medal with you to access these great discounts.

Can I run with my child in a buggy?

Spectators

Can I walk around the Event Village and Route?

Yes of course. Our Event Village is open to runners and spectators from 07:45 until 13:00 and will be full of entertainment and food and drink vendors for everyone to enjoy. There will be crossing points at various sections of the route, where our Marshals will be on hand to help you.

 

Residents

What roads will be closed during the day of the event?

The list of the key affected roads and their closure times will be published in due course and an extensive business and residents communication plan will be implemented. Emergency Services and pedestrian access will be facilitated throughout, but there will be no vehicle or bicycle access on these roads during the closure period. Visit www.tfl.gov.uk to see if your public transport journey by bus is affected.

There are lots of ways for businesses to get involved – you can become an event sponsor, a supplier or vendor, or simply enter your employees to take part!
